Classical guitar recommendations?

Sign in to disble this ad
I've been playing bass for about five years now and have been considering trying out classical guitar (mainly because it's meant to be finger-picked; plectrums and I don't just don't gel). However, I'm a total newbie when it comes to anything guitar-related, so I have no idea what to look for for my first classical guitar

I see that the good folks at Rondo Music have an enticing starter-pack for about $60, but if I could get a significantly superior instrument, I’d definitely be willing to spend a little bit extra (my intended price limit is about $150-$200).

So, does anyone have any suggestions for specific brand/model names that I should consider?

Edit: After searching around a bit, I think I found some superior options:

Alvarez RC 10 Regent Series - $90

Ibanez GA5 - $140

Yamaha CGS104 - $150

Washburn C40 - $120

Any thoughts?

the yamaha's nice, two of my friends have one and they like it.

I have an old argentinian classical (long story, my uncle got it) and i love it. Classical guitar is a great instrument, i love playing mine.

I love listening to classical guitar music (the spanish stuff) too.
