Old thread, but so what...

I'm diggin what I hear from Club d'Elf. I just went to the Live Music Archive and got the 9/18/08 show at The Lizard Lounge. This band is really great.

I'm a big Medeski, Martin & Wood fan and I've been looking for something similar. It's been really hard to find anything that's similar to MM&W. It seems that John Medeski has joined these guys for several performances.

Club d'Elf is truly amazing. The leader is also the bass player, cool. From what I've seen, he's playing URB and a fender jazz. From my searching, the most convenient way to listen to their shows/music is at archive.org.

Give 'em a try. You might like it.

Peace & Music,
Joe

Huge fan! Just saw them live for the first time on 7/1/2010, opening for Victor Wooten at The Paradise in Boston. Have listened to their live recording for a few years now though. Love Micro Vard's bass style and leadership.
