Coffin Cases?

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently picked up a Coffin Case ATC-425 Universal Bass Case to use with my Dean, and I just wanted to know what the general consensus is regarding durability. I want to know that I can take this baby through airport baggage without worrying.

I think your trouble at the airport won't be with the safety of the instrument inside as much as getting a coffin case through post-9/11 airports.

no way that case is gonna survive airport baggage. only way you're going to accomplish that is with a true ATA approved case. the case is likely to cost you more then you paid for the bass.

I was thinking of trying the cases you can get from Rondo, since they have a rep for quality products at low prices. I just can't tell if it'll fit my Dean, since it's on the other side of the country and out of measuring range.
