College Help

Im in the tenth grade right now and starting to look at colleges i live in NH so I was looking in to Berklee and I did the summer weekend bass lines program but my bass teacher says there are better schools for less and that there was a Community College in NY Ron Carter used to teach at and I was wondering if there were any other colleges like that (upright or electric) I also wana know if there any schools Rufus Reed or Stanley Clarke taught at thx.

Idk about community college, but SUNY (state u of ny) Purchase is a conservatory as is Ithica.
