Comfort Strapp lengths

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

I want to buy a Comfort Strapp and there aren't any in my local store to test out.

I'm 6' 5" and I like to play with my bass hanging just about waist level / a little lower. I'm guessing the 42" - 54" strap is the one that would suit me best, but I'd appreciate any opinions / comments if there are any.

Thanks

Cos

If you're 6'5", definitely get the Extra Long version. I'm 6' even, and the Long is just long enough for me. I needed an Extra Long for my Jack Casady because the strap button was on the back of the bass.

If you play a "normal" electric, get the Extra Long for sure. Good luck.

You'll love it. It's the best strap I've ever used. I have about 5 of them now. One on each bass, and even one on my Tele Deluxe! One of the guitar players in my band plays a Gibson Les Paul. He was always complaining about how heavy it is. One day I said to him, "Here - strap on my bass. It's at least as heavy as your Paul. This Comfort Strapp is what you need." He was blown away, and went out and bought one the next day. I told him they make them in a narrower width for guitar, but he said, "Nope. I want one just like this." So I like to think that I drove a little bit of "bass player" into him...

FWIW, I had to install a new tailpiece on my Comfort Strapp to extend it to 60"... Not a hard thing to do.... If you run into that kind of problem, let me know and I'll show you how I did it without cutting the end off my Comfort Strapp.

The problem is, now that the Strapp is longer, it slides around on my shoulder causing me to constantly adjust it... So I wear a leather strap for gigs and rehearsals and the Comfort for shedding.

But as far a comfort goes, you can't beat it!

My two had longer leather ends added on. They do not come long enough. I'm 6'2" and don't wear my basses low yet I needed this extension. Works!
