Hey all, Ive just bought a Peavey Cirrus 5-string bxp and while it is quite a light weight bass, im still going to need a new strap. I need something that is both comfy and yet will hold my bass secure. Ive looked around but i was just wondering what yall used and how you like it. Thanks. |

I prefer the Comfort Strapp overall as it is a really comfortable strap, but I prefer the Neotech strap for looks, and the added bonus of being pretty comfortable. However, I don't care too much about looks, and the Comfort Strapp feels better overall on my shoulder, so that is what I use most of the time. |

The 'give' of those straps really makes a bass feel lightweight. They have a somewhat goofy 'double eyelet' design on the leather strap ends. I just cut off the lower section just above the lower hole and then install my straplocks... works great.
It's also cool that the Comfort Strapp comes in different lengths, so that if you are really short or really tall, there is still some adjustment room. The medium bass model would work for most though.
GREAT strap, especially if you are dealing with a heavy instrument.

I've used them for years and haven't found anything better.

Personally I go with the Comfort Strapp. Excellent strap. I also tried out the Levi's that needmoney posted. Another nice strap, but I preferred the "give" of the comfort strapp.

I am against all things strap locks. The only time I ever dropped a bass was when it had strap locks on it.

I have also heard that the moody ones are great, but I like my Italia so much that I haven't bothered forking out the money for one.

I have both schallers (came on my Fbass) and dunlops. The dunlops are easier to get on and off (although the strap part is harder to get onto the strap) and they are duel purpose so you can use a regular strap with them. You can use a regular strap with the schallers, but they aren't near as safe.
