A concert I would have liked to have seen

This week in 1967, Cream, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Pink Floyd, Zoot Money, and The Move all appeared at the Tulip Bulb Auction Hall in Spalding, Lincs, England for a concert. Tickets were £1 ($1.70)

California Jam 1974 here!

Headlined by The Eagles (with Jackson Browne sitting in). Of course, this being the original Eagles with Bernie Leadon and Randy Mesiner, not the corporate butthold Eagles aka the Glenn Frey show.

Jean shorts.... Budweiser in the can... girls in bikini tops... yaya!

Actually, the first Cal Jam in '74 was headlined by ELP, Deep Purple was just before them, Black Sabbath Just before Purple.
The Eagles were down the bill a ways and played in the afternoon..

There's some very nice Cali Jam footage on youtube.
I even bought a DVD from the guy that posted that stuff.

Rare Earth opened, IIRC.
EW&F (in all their costumed glory) did an afternoon set. Verdine White takes a nice bass break.
The Eagles, Black Oak, Black Sabbath, Seals/Crofts...all afternoon sets.

ELP & Purple were "co-headliners"...IIRC, there was a dispute. IIRC, DP wanted to go on before ELP because of the better time slot. ELP did close the show...DP may have actually been "the headliner" (& they hadda bolt the scene immediately 'cause Blackmore destroyed a valuable TV camera!).

There's also the story that Oscar peterson called up Count Basie to check out Emerson whirling piano bit...IIRC.
Man, I'm in a haze today!

There's a ton of Fillmore East shows that were like this...maybe 3 bands & not 5 bands on the bill, but still.

Yep, and 3-6 bucks a pop, with an early show at 10 and late show at 2AM.

This one in 1970 was 15 bucks for three days. I even remember some of it.

It's either "Concerts I would have liked to see" or "Concerts I would like to have seen."

Yep. One of the only acts I really remember from the Strawberry Fields Festival featured some little known blond hotshot hippie guitarist playing in Delaney and Bonnie's band:

Not nearly as long ago as what others have posted but the first one that comes to my mind would be August 26th, 1990. Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray and Stevie Ray Vaughn. SRV died in a helicopter crash leaving the show.

I would have liked to attend Woodstock as well as hearing Pink Floyd in the Syd Barrett era.
