Free Beer.

They were ordered to change their name. No pub could advertise them without being pulled up for false advertising.

i wasn't trying to say that names had to be long to be cool.

another sweet band name is Re:. short, recognizable, and with lots of ability to be used in a cool way - their first album's song names all could be used with re in front of them, "scue", "cipe", "solute"

I see. I didn't think that you meant that only long names are cool.
I tend to like short ones. U2 is kind of lame, but unique, which makes it kind of cool.

I always wanted to start a band called Lost Dog. The flyers would be completely ignored.

Aphex Twin is kinda awesome sounding and the backstory is oddly touching for something Richard D. James related. Squarepusher and Venitian Snares are delicious also.

i..... um.... like Hard IDM a lot and the names touch me. deep inside. where i'm soft like a woman.

and i've never listened to any of their music, but Stiff Richards is clever in a fun, immature way.

I like their song "Chop Up Your Mother." I know, I have problems.
