Cool Duet Ideas

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey I'm doing a "bass day" for fine arts week at my highschool and its me and one other bassist it's our senior year so we wanna make it a good one weve got about 15 +or- 5 min to play and so far weve got the idea of jamin out to the inspector gadget theme song and in the hall of the mountain king ...we will probably also do a song with a bunch of excerpts from classic rock songs (teenage wasteland for sure) does anyone have any other sweet ideas...we are both pretty capable technique-wise ...any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Play George Smed's version of Wonderful Tonight, but instead of one person tapping, break it into a duet, so one of you do his left hand, and one do his right hand.

Aren't Inspector Gadget and Mountain King a little too similar?

Two-Bass Shuffle. I can't remember who wrote it but it's covered by Holger Czukay here:

Or Dali's Car from Trout Mask Replica. I'd love to hear that done for bass.

It's "Baba O'Reily"..... Thanks for reminding me of a really good Freaks and Geeks ep, though.

As far as suggestions... I can't really think of anything right now. Good luck though!!!
