Cool Strap Club!

Got 'em? Show 'em!

This was made for me by my uncle. The pics do not do it justice.

Stunning strap - it looks like it's hard leather though...

That's one of the coolest straps I've ever seen.

kesslari, you are in as #2 in the Cool Strap Club.

Epitaph and Andy, thanks. And you're right: it's hard leather. I think it will still stand up in the corner by itself. Somehow it's not uncomfortable. Maybe it's broken in, or maybe I've lost all feeling in my left shoulder.

Here are some of mine:

These last two are the same strap on different basses. The strap looks way too dark on the P-Bass pic, so I included the St. Blues bass pic as well. This strap is dark brown, although it looks black in these pics.

I don't have any pics of my Eyeland "Sunzeye" model strap, but it's identical to the black one pictured here. It has an inlayed glass eye, back-lit with a blinking blue led, and is currently the strap for my USA Spector NS-4..

http://www.google.com/imgres?q=eyela...9,r:3,s:0,i:99

This is just an off the shelf strap that happened to go with my Ric 4004Cii rather nicely. It is adorned with an "ancient flyer" pin from the show "ancient aliens"...

Thanks. They're all from "Get'm, Get'm". I used to use all Pro Comfort Strapps, but have switched over to these. They're not quite as comfortable as the Comfort Strapps, but these 3" ones are not bad. I'm a pretty big guy, and I like the length of the Get'm Get'ms. You used to be able to get some killer deals on these from Amazon, but the prices have gone sky high lately.

'gator...

Here's mine: Alligator custom made for me by a retired leather guy.
Probably not one-of-a-kind, but certainly unique enough that it always draws comments.
Hmmmph, maybe I have too much 'style' and not enough 'skill' -- not as many comments on my playing...
...I would like a number please...

I have been really wanting one of those 'hipster' type straps, you know the ones, made from a reclaimed sofa or car upholstery or something, handmade by someone in Portland or Brooklyn or something.

I don't own this, but wanted to share it in this thread. It's a bass creation on the Bas-Extravaganza.nl website

This is the bass /w strap in question.

I'd say the "strap" isn't the only thing about that "creation" that is questionable. Looks like it needs a little fret work
