Good grief! Does the strap outweigh the bass?

It is a Getm Getm, and most of those are pretty corny IMHO, but when I saw this one for sale, I had to have it. I've been using it for the last couple of years now, and that's visible

lucky #13 to ShowKing
#14 reserved for bassfran in case you decide later you want a number
I'm sure my uncle could whip out another gecko strap, fivestringgecko, especially if you provide him with better patterns / pictures than I did!

| | | I make my own from long leather belt blanks found at local leather working supply stores.
Tooled using a basket weave stamp, dyed with black oil and a standard belt buckle for adjustment.
Tooled by hand and a huge belt buckle found at a garage sale for adjustment.
Once they break in, the stiff leather is pretty soft and is very comfortable. I'm in the process of making a strap for each instrument.

| | ❤ Gotta luv it! | | Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Southern California | | I stumbled upon a leather company that makes custom guitar and bass straps called Brookwood Leather. The owner, Bob Schell (it’s a one-man operation) made a 5-part YouTube video showing him making a strap from start to finish. He goes into detail on most of the items and techniques used and I found it quite interesting.
The first of the 5 parts is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTxM1EvBTeE
You can find his website here: http://brookwoodleather.com
Note: I am in no way associated with Bob or Brookwood Leather.

Cost 0.99 plus 5 pounds shipping on the British Ebay. Should have gig pics Wednesday, because it seems that unlike the previous owner (who seems to never have even installed it on any instrument) I lack a properly developed sense of shame.
