The coolest big band you've ever listened to?

For those of you who, like me dig anime, these guys did the Blue Submarine No6 OST which is right up there with Cowboy Bebop for best soundtracks ever. I figure there have got to be other big bands out there that stretch the boundaries of what there name suggests, so what's out there?

By the way I'm sure The Seatbelts did cowboy bebop by the way and the composer is Yoko Kano

Yep, i know. Yoko Kanno is an amazing composer and she really does have the coolest friends as far as range of music goes. Man i just might have to make a thread for awesome anime soundtracks...
