Corgan getting Smashing Pumpkins back together

Quote:
CHICAGO (Reuters) - Singer Billy Corgan said on Tuesday he plans to revive The Smashing Pumpkins, his Grammy-winning band which broke up in 2000 after more than a decade of blending alternative rock with the avant-garde.

In full-page advertisements in Chicago newspapers, the bald-headed Corgan said, "I want my band back, and my songs, and my dreams."
Not a big fan or anything but thought some might find it interesting, especially Matt Till.

I'm a big SP fan, so it would be interesting to have them back. Although, I doubt they would still be any good. The "split-up band getting back together" idea has crashed and burned too many times in the past.

I doubt James Iha will come back. They had some bad static near the end there. I would love to see him with the Pumpkins again, because he was a great talent. But we'll see how this plays out.

Smashing Pumpkins reunite?

God I hope not. I personally can't stand to hear Corgan's voice, that nasally whining shrill moaning or whatever he does.

This would be cool. SP was one of the bands I never got to see live that I wanted to.

He has finaly realised that both Zwan (awful name, in Belgium it's the name of a tv-saucage) and his soloproject are not working out.
