Seriously though whats with these guys who are not interested in you as a player and just don't comment you back?
I've had some guitarists offer to jam with me and when I reject I am polite and send back them a email.
With some guys who interview me as a player and ask how I am and my styles, I am courteous enough to comment back with what i play, how i play etc.... But it seems that they some just ignore and don't even reply saying, "you're not right".
For example i had a guy ask me cause he needed a bass player, he came up to me to ask me some things. Then asks me if i could slap & pop i said nah not my style, i play around with it but never really much else. After that no reply, what the **** i'm nice enough to be a decent guy and hear him out (even he was playing a different style that i'm not so crazy about) and he's not even nice enough to say "sorry we'd like to have a guy who can slap&pop". It pisses me off cause you wait for that respond back and it never happens.
Is this that common? |
