crazedlist... for all those who amp hunt on CL...

i just found out about this little gem of a website, it'll take a CL search query and run it through the listings in whatever area you choose and display them all on one page.

TB classifieds are always your best bet when looking for good used stuff, but this is the next best thing!

you have to use firefox as a browser and there's a small little setup step to make it work (takes about 10 seconds) but it's really awesome if you're looking for a certain amp and don't want to fish through the 8 different sets of listings around you!

this isn't an ad, it's free to use and I'm just letting you know about this neat little tool!

Those only seem useful if you need to search more than one area.

What I do is perform a search, then bookmark the results page. Every time I use that bookmark, CL performs the same search. For instance, if you live in San Francisco this link will search for ads in musical instruments with "bass" in the title:

There's a lot of them. Just google "craigslist search engine".

It used to be great ... until CL began using a "feature" to show NEARBY matches (outside of the area being searched) when the main search yields scanty results. The same listings show up in multiple places now. Not all CL areas use this feature, but it's common here in the northeast.

Craig's little buddy is done by a sometimes TB'er and all around good guy Phatduckk. He also happens to have a relatively small but pretty kickass bass and guitar collection.
