Saw Fogerty at the Fillmore around 95-97 and I didn't know what to expect. He just found a new love of his life and she had encouraged him to start playing again. He spoke to this as she sat in the balcony and introduced her and thanked her. I've seen literally hundreds of shows and that show is in my top 5. His voice was even better than when he was younger, his tech wheeled in and out the vintage gear that he used for the recording sessions, and he just tore the Fillmore down. Everyone was visibly stunned.
My best friend is possibly working with the stage crew on the upcoming tour. The tour manager said the new album is actually amazing....very CCR, unlike most of his other solo stuff. Rave reviews by CCR heads.
I was just playing guitar and singing to Wrote A Song For Everyone last night!
Hail CCR!

However, Heard It Through The Grapevine passed muster when we had a CCR request last month at a scary "50's and 60's" gig my jazz band played. LOL... |

I really love (and used to cover) the CCR song "Ramble Tamble".
The way this song transforms from a driving country-rock, feel and tempo
to a full on psychedelic groove, and then back again is very cool indeed.

But heck I just love that band, and the most amazing thing is i'm not a big fan of country. |

| | uncle petey? | | Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: outer banks, nc | | | I live in North Carolina. One would think CCR to be almost a religion around here, its not. I have their first RECORD. I was just listening to it a couple days ago. I love the sound of their bass. Down on the Corner was the first song I learnt of the bass. Good times. They don't get enough respect. I wanted to slap that kid from the mac commercials for his words about the CCR during the new Die Hard movie...Bruce Willis represented though...say, "word"
