I have recently joined a band and we would like to learn some simple, crowd pleasing songs: 'Boys Don't Cry' being a good one.
Any suggestions?

Always seems to go down a treat if my band plays it. Deadly simple.

Inevitably the language evolves to stories on how they used to ride their hogs (which were really 65cc Yamahas) through shark-infested waters slaying anyone who got in their way.
It also brings out the infamous "I puked drinking sloe-gin listening to this song once" stories.
Oh, and there's usually a pretty glazed look in their eyes. |

One might respond to You Light Up My Life (that would be a real touch of hell!), another might get a rush out of Heart of the Sunrise, another for Won't Get Fooled Again, etc. |

Sweet Home Alabama
Mustang Sally
Johnny B Goode
The crowd loves them, but they make me want to hurt myself.

Any suggestions? | For young people, almost any pop song (like Metro Station... not very good but people like them...) and for older/more mature crowds just play something like "Day Tripper" or "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" by the Beatles. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
