I'm looking for stuff to put on my mp3 player to work out to. I've got the old school thrash guys but I need some new stuff to put on there.

I don't think that they're recording, but they are currently touring. Spike Cassidy (guitar) was diagnosed with cancer in 2006, and the band went on hiatus while he was getting treatment. He is in full remission now, and they have shows booked for the next few months.

In the meantime, Kurt Brecht has been singing for a band, called Pasedena Napalm Division, that includeds ex-members of deadhorse and Angkor Wat. I personally know one of the guitar players - I played in metal bands in Austin with him for years. Check out their myspace page - some pretty good old-school thrash that really doesn't sound like anyone else.

I'm not sure you've listened to Exumer. That's good, Dover Trench is older but also good. Legion of the Damned is some good deathrash, and Legions of War is some ok blackened thrash. Nifelheim is kind of new, Mekong Delta is tech thrash so you might not like that.

Fekete Sereg is a band from Hungary, and though I haven't listened to them much, they seem ok.

Dr. Living Dead is really good crossover from Sweden, Deathchain's first album was good deathrash. Holy Terror is an old, but definitely underrated speed metal band. Really fast, evil stuff.

Victims are pretty cool. They're from Sweden but for some reason not at all regular EuroMetal.

Check out Saviours. Not sure I would exactly call them thrash, but they're still awesome.

I haven't listened to much new stuff lately, but I have a ton of it at home. Gama Bomb is my current fav thats kinda new, they are a little over the top at times which is fun.
Theres a local band here called Iron Age (Thrash/ Doom elements) they are pretty bad a$$ Awesome live too.
