Custom Case

I have a '67 Guild Starfire I with the original case. It's really not cutting it for touring. Any options for a tough custom case?

Well, if you want the hella tough and heavy pro-touring style case, then Cabbage Cases is a classic choice. If you didn't want to go that heavy/bulky, then keep your eye out for a Martin Dreadnaught hardshell case. I had one that fit a bass very similar to the Starfire, and it was plenty good for around-town gigs.

This more what I had in mind. Not ATA, too bulky. $800 plus shipping. Yikes!

Hi.

A custom will always be a costly one.

What's wrong with ATA-style?

Acoustic dereadnought cases like Bongomania suggested, especially 12 string ones, take most basses pretty well.

Sam
