Custom hardshells?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Dean Edge six-string fretless in the mail, but I'm shipping off to college in a month. I'm taking my basses with me - there'll be only two including this one - but I only have a hardshell case for my Ged. I don't have anything for the Dean, and I can't find a case specifically for that model. I still have a gig bag, but it's the same gig bag my Ged was in when one of the tuning machines got wonked up against the door, so there's not a lot of protection there. Plus, I'm putting some FretFX LEDs/HotDotz on it, so I want to make sure nothing whacks against the LED array.

Any place I can find a suitable hardshell case (possibly on the cheap)?

what about one of those big metal looking flightcases? maby you could find one on the cheap somewhere (even used if your happy to replace the rubber inside > its cheap to replace) and cut out the shape of your bass?

thats what my friend did for his b.c rich ironbird bass.
