Custom Speaker Grill Fabric

Not sure if this is the proper place to post this but here goes nothing...

Recently joined a a new rock/party band and we were talking about ways to plaster the logo onstage outside of drumheads, banners, etc....so I thought...the speaker cab..I've seen bigger acts have their cab tricked out with fabric or some sort of material on the frame that has the bands logo on it.. So my question is does anyone have any advice on how to go about this or has some links to point me in a good direction? Would love to have it done to my Hartke 4x10 cab.

Here is the logo to be printed...

Hi.

DIY or commercial?

If DIY, You print out the templates, cut 'em, and use compatible spray paints on the cloth of Your choice. Some airbrushing is going to be needed on the magenta and on the reflection at least.

If You're going to do more than one, silk-screening is easy, remember those T-shirts that were made in upper secondary school arts classes.

If commercial, any sign printing shop will do it.

Ain't gonna be cheap either way.

Regards
Sam

yeah, if you're doing this, it's going to be a multi-layered stencil, looks like you'd want 4 layers. I'm not sure about silk-screening, but paying a sign printing shop would be much easier, although just getting some non-water based acrylic paints and a paint roller would be the cheapest route. Whichever route you go, I wish you luck.

I forgot to mention, this website has a lot of info on stencils, including how to apply multi-layered stencils:

you can also have a vinyl transfer, or heat transfer made, look online for silk screening in your area, and someone who prints vinyl transfers
