I saw something in a 4 string where it took all the knobs on a 4 string and made them those knobs on knobs (hard to explain) for even more tone control. Does anyone konw how to help me?

Separate volumes for each string?

Concentric volume/tone controls?

Are we talking 4 seperate volumes, a master volume- 4 tone, active tone circuitry...?

How many pots/switches/etc?

The J-Retro pre-amp replaces the stock pots in a Jazz bass with a preamp using stacked controls in the same space. That's probably what you saw. They are fabulous preamps. Do a search .

Our guitarist actually took a bunch of small white square-shaped stickers and put them all over his black Hamer Explorer to create a "checker board" effect. It actually turned out looking real good...you can see pics at our website below.

Isn't that a Rick Nielsen trademark? As a matter of fact, I think he did it to one of his Explorers too.
