My band had a drummer we had to let go as he wasn't turning up for rehearsals etc The last rehearsal, about six weeks ago, the drummer left his set of cymbals in my car. Several text and voice messages and e-mails later, he has not as much returned any for his cymbals' return. What to do? I am almost considering threatning to sell them, and see if that jerks some motion into him to pick them up, but thought I'd pass it by you guys first to see if you have any suggestions....
Any suggestions? |

I still have a Peavy Studio Pro 40 that a guitarist left at my house back in 1982. I tried giving it back, but he moved out of state on short notice and never called for it,so now it makes a great amp in my studio.

I have no use for cymbals myself plus they're getting in the way! I'm sure he might need them in the future - but he doesn't seem to be too pushed in getting them back if he does!
Anyway, I sent him a mail last night to the effect that I still have his cymbals and to arrange to have the picked up (by anyone!!) by today week (Wednsday 11th), and left it at that! wonder if that'll work!
PS New and improved drummer in the making! This guy won't be coming back no matter how desparate we are!!

He's been in contact with the guitarist since my initial "take your cymbals away please" contacts (who never thought of mentioning the cymbals to him), so, he certainly was well enough initially to get his thumb-mobile action working.
He did mention he was moving back to the U.K though some time ago.
In any case, they'll be long out of my house (with my wife out of my ear!! lol) this side of Christmas one way or the other! |

(did I just mention the "C" word twice in one thread? ) |
