I heard somewhere that there is a pretty big all bass store in the DFW area? I live in Mckinney, and we have not one good guitar store nearby except for Guitar Center. Do any of you people in the DFW area know of a store like this?

Thanks

There's not an all bass store to my knowledge, however Larry Morgan Music on Garland Road is pretty amazing. Fodera, Lakland, Zon, Roscoe, Boogie, Aguilar, Eden, Bergantino... shall I go on?

I'll second that motion for Larry Morgan's. Their selection is much more satisfying than the corporate monster stores. They've got directions on their website if you're wanting to make the journey.

I'm with Stu on this one..Marcus has always worked with me. They're in the old Speir Music building now. Best selection in Dallas for bass gear and you can deal with a much higher level of musician/salesperson than the majority of goofs at GC.

The creator of "King of the Hill" lived in Garland, and named the fictional town after it. Good catch.

What a great show, it is so spot on to what Texas is like I can't understand how anybody that doesnt live here can possibly understand it.

I wouldn't have thought the people were like the way they are on the show. I've been there once driving through, and stopped at a steakhouse. That was some damn good steak.

I thought he once said it was based on a city like Humble.

Anyway...Larry Morgan music was very kind to us at our last Dallas area get-together. They brought out some bee-auty-ful basses and some sound equipment so we could jam. They also donated door prizes as Stubi can attest to.
