What does victor wooten use when he plays bass. He drags a black thing down on his bass and usually leaves it up at the top of his neck... Why? what is it for? and what is it?

Not sure if you need a bass specific one or if he just uses one of these?

They just stop open strings ringing out etc when two handed tapping.
Personally I just use a hair band! :-)

For the longest time he was just using a scrunchie, didn't know he was using an actual dampener.
