Denver bass-only store?

So, I've been kicking around a couple of business ideas, both addressing holes I have perceived in the offerings of instrument stores in the Denver area:

1. Opening a retail store specializing in basses, bass amps, bass fx, and so on.

2. Opening a more general music gear store, but specializing in used, rentals, and rent-to-own.

I'm guessing others around these parts have done such things...any advice? Is Denver (my location) a large enough market to support a bass-only gear store? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
