Describe this band?

Hey all... just trying to come up with a way to describe this band.

Genre, style, similarities with other bands.

I'm not sure where I would start, but I kind of like the guitarists palm mute tone on that Marshall.

Here's a link to a video on youtube..

Pretty lame. The guy can't sing. His guitar playing is very basic. The drummer is good but that's about it.

My first instinct is to call 'em southern rock/hard rock, but their home pages call 'em grunge. Grunge to me is less a sound and more a movement from a fixed time, but what do I know? Really, its splitting hairs, lets say rock n roll.
I give 'em credit, they're out there writing original material, getting published and touring. Plus it seems they've got some experienced people backing them up and helping to push them.
Musically they aren't my cup of tea but I wish 'em luck.

They need a new bass player though, he's no where near grizzled enough compaired to the other two and looks much too happy.

Yeah, when I think "grunge" I think 1988-1996 for some reason.... I just go to that time period... not the style.

post-grunge stoner rock. kinda clutch meets black label with a sort of rob zombie vocal thing going on. definitely old school.

OK... I'm confused. I thought I liked stoner rock (yet I hate that term) but I dont think they sound like stoner rock. They sound like they are using the stoner rock sound but song structure is not so much stoner rock. Soo...DO I like stoner rock? Have I been wrong? Do I even know what stoner rock is? How many times can I say stoner rock again in this post?

I know, right. I just saw this video on youtube the other day and I was just scratching my head and trying to figure out a good classification for this band.

It's like stoner rock with punk structure? maybe? I dunno. The vocals made me think of Type O a little.

I'm just trying to figure this out, regardless of wether or not myself or anyone thinks the music is "good".

I like the replies in this thread so far, though.
