I've been meaning to check out the CD, but haven't gotten around to it. It kills me that Duncan Hills Coffee is only on the deluxe edition. Looks like I'm payin' a bit more for this one. |

The mixing and mastering was not up to snuff. The album is loud and wimpy sounding (a modern trend I expected, but worth mentioning) and there are a lot of instances of clipped digital inputs in the album resulting in harsh upper register "squeaks" and "Pops". I found it most noticable on "Better Metal Snake" and "Thunder Horse". Basically, I listen to the album and it literally hurts, like fingernails on a chalkboard. I'm almost certain that this is a bad mix, but does anyone else have this going on with their copy?
Also, the songs are a lot better on the cd's than on the televised version.
All in all, 2 9/10 out of 5.
