Went to see my brother's band play tonight at Gusano's Pizza in Conway. Medium sized pizza place, has a small stage, not really a venue though. My brother's band played a set, second band played, then they finished with a second set. Who might this second band be? Ended up being a reggae cover band out of Little Rock, with Devon Evans singing for the night! If you don't know who that is, he was the percussionist for a little know band called the Wailers. They backed a smalltime musician who went by the name Bob Marley. Needless to say, it was an amazing night! Still have trouble believing this happened unknown to pretty much anybody in Conway, Arkansas, the town that has little to no music scene. Just thought I'd share this, maybe one or two other TBers were present? |
