I am not sure I want to share the insider info, but they seemed like good guys and deserve the publicity.
Today I was meeting up with some fellow youth pastors to plan an All Night event for our churches. Both of them are in Vancouver, WA and I live in North Portland, so we met up for lunch on their side of the river. Leaving the bus yard early meant I had 30 minutes to waste before meeting the guys, so I wandered around the block at 8th Ave. and Washington St. and found a music shop down on 6th.
Briz Loan & Guitar
I stopped in and was greeted by a well mannered Dalmatian and a store full of used equipment. Basses, Guitars, amps and effects, soundboards, drums and brass. It was great. Best of all was the pricing. Seeing as most of the gear was used and somewhat beat, they priced it all to sell. I was looking at basses I searched for new 2 years ago at a third of the price. Had I the extra money I could have left with a few choice basses and guitars, but alas it is that time of year I have to buy gifts for others.
Maybe you are into new and polished equipment, but I am not. If you are like me and enjoy taking a beater and putting in some work to bring out the shine, this may be the place for you. I certainly will be going back when it is New (to me) Bass/Guitar time.
I think you all in the Vancouver/Portland area should check it out, you may just find something you can't put down.

Reason: It may help if I put the name of the store.
