I had alway thought that the lyric to "All Along the watchtower" was: "There must be some way to get out of here said the spider to the fly" but its actually; "......said the joker to the thief"
So where did mine come from? Did I here it somewhere or make it up? If I did, the imagery is better and I claim copyright. All the same, it must be from somewhere. |

In all honesty, "Said the spider to the fly" is in a ton of literature. |

JIMMI!!!!! | Some of the guys who played with Hendrix have confirmed that he DID sing that!!!!
Of course that's not the "right" lyric, but after everyone miss heard it, he went along with the joke, and would often sing it like that at gigs.

I like this incogruity. The spider confides that he needs a way out when its the fly who is caught! Its such an obvious irony that it seems like an obvious lyric.
Is it really not from something else? |
