Well, I have a little Epiphone Valve Junior Combo that is pretty cool, but it's just not quite "it" for me in regard to tone. It's got an 8" speaker and it sounds quite boxy, probably due to the small enclosure.

So I needed a good, lighter (than my AC30 at 72-73lbs) combo to use. I had some spare 12's around as well, and put one in this thing, but I may up it to two.

So on to the pics:

Hmm very cool.... What brands of speakers are the stock speaker and the replacement speaker?

Sometimes you can do a world of difference by just replacing a cheap no-name stock speaker with a good speaker like a vintage-type Jensen without even changing speaker size.

Do you plan on dressing up your new enclosure to make it look different/finished?

The speaker is some no name thing I found in my grandpa's garage. It's old, and vintagey, and I likes it. It's an alnico speaker, and they tend to sound great with some power tube breakup. I may redo the baffle board and put both 12's in there, but it was loud enough at my church gig with only one.

I will probably be covering it in brush on bedliner stuff. It's pretty tough, and easier than tolex for sure.
