Meshuggah were heavier than Slipknot? I'm sure they did. Well I got some Meshuggah and I'm dissappointed. No where near as heavy. Same goes for Decapitated. It's good stuff, but it's no where near as heavy as slipknot.

Slipknot?
If you're looking for heavy, how about you check out some real death metal?

I'd recommend you start with the album Resurrection Through Carnage by Bloodbath.

Perhpas I have a different idea of what heavy is. A lot of these bands play really fast and have good riffs, but the bass isn't as in your face if you get me. Slipknot have a very bass heavy sound, so perhaps that's why i feel their heavier?

Just stop. You were halfway believeable when you had your first fifty-or-so musical epiphanies; now it's just tired.

I don't know about who's heavier, but I certainly understand why Slipknot wear their masks....

I tried before, but you keep ignoring my suggestions for better bands. Not that you've been paying attention to reality in the first place.

Cryptopsy
Origin
Nile
Black Dahlia Murder
Suffocation
Ion Dissonance
High On Fire
Strapping Young Lad
Nasum
The Amenta.
Dillinger, for chrissake. Calculating Infinity already had your children.
Carcass
Watch Them Die
Psycroptic
Pig Destroyer
Cattle Decapitation.

...I can keep going. Point is. Here. Follow this little white Rabbit:

The Amenta - Erebus. If, for some reason you think they're not as heavy as Slipknot, well, remember, it's down the street, not across the road.

1- They're both just GWARing up the place.

2- Yes and no. Claiming say, Nasum is heavier than Pig Destroyer might be opinion, but claiming that Slipknot is heavier than everything else in the world (which, yes, Nick has claimed), fails to take into acount truely shocking amounts of actual bands in general and reality in specific.

NILE?! That's just guitar wankery that is riffless, and not really very good at all. The bassist has a nice bass though
