Meshuggah were heavier than Slipknot? I'm sure they did. Well I got some Meshuggah and I'm dissappointed. No where near as heavy. Same goes for Decapitated. It's good stuff, but it's no where near as heavy as slipknot. |

A lot of these bands play really fast and have good riffs, but the bass isn't as in your face if you get me. Slipknot have a very bass heavy sound, so perhaps that's why i feel their heavier? |

2- Yes and no. Claiming say, Nasum is heavier than Pig Destroyer might be opinion, but claiming that Slipknot is heavier than everything else in the world (which, yes, Nick has claimed), fails to take into acount truely shocking amounts of actual bands in general and reality in specific.
