Did Warmoth redo their site?

It's hideous. I don't remember it being so clumsy in design.

Is this an accidental restore of an old backup?

White on black background, frames, crappy little shopping cart in the corner...

This looks like it was designed 10 years ago.

YUCK!

I don't know what you're seeing, but it looks the same as usual to me. Black background, xhtml...

Yeah, they redid it. I don't like it either. Much harder to navigate. Pages take longer to load..etc. Sometimes newer isn't better. Especially in this instance.

+1 (or is it 2?)

The old format was more friendly with simple menus.

It sucks so hard now.

I have to try to find the add to cart button now (if it's even there on some pages).

Am I the only one who thinks that it isn't that bad? I think it looks more professional now, even though the pages do take about 0.435 extra seconds to load (Not actual time).

Just my opinion...

The old one was much more easy to navigate and visually pleasing.

Sorry to say, but the new web site sucks big time.

From a musician point of view, the designer of the new web site understands absolutely nothing about music, I find that the new site offers a lot less choices visually than the previous one, it makes it very unappealing to browse through, the showcase for bodies and neck is poor at best, it also doesn’t offer a “ view all “ option, it’s very fragmented.

From a designer’s point of view ( Yes I'm also web site designer ), the site is very heavy and does not project the ease of use the previous site offered, it's also task intensive and loads way to slow even on a high speed connection. that dark background is as bad as it gets, there is absolutely no creativity involved here, a first year student would have done it better, flash is way over rated and is not snappy, designer simply build there portfolio instead of building a functional web site, customers need to navigate easily during the transition, there simply not making it possible here.
Here is a hint for web site designers " Think end user, not portfolio ".

My 2 cents

PS : Send them an e-mail and let them know, that’s what I did.

I have done Web design too and stopped because my clients were always trying to squeeze too much out of me and when their business failed, it was always the fault of the Web guy.

I have done one site only for one guy who wanted white on black and when the site got released, he got so much bad rap for it that he asked me to redo it the other way around. When I told him it would cost a little bit (it was a bit more complicated than changing the colors in the CSS), he got pissed and fired me.

Now I am 100% database, as I found out there was strong demand for these skills, and I sleep better.

I really do not like the new site. Its way to... how should I say it.... sucky, for the lack of a technical term.
