| i jammed with my buddy a couple times, which was great fun. it was less me riffing off a drone and more me laying down a loop, and him playing off that and then me playing off him and the loop. (ambient stuff and dubstep-type stuff was really cool.)
the dude i played with has been at it for ten or twelve years, and does some funky voicing/vibrato stuff, but could also follow a bassline, provided is was in the proper key. just make sure your didg can actually produce notes that are in tune.
i am not very knowledgeable when it comes to the didgeridoo, but it made a huge difference in playing and recording going from a couple of home-made ones to a legit didgeridoo (one of the naturally hollowed-out ones). also, playing into a hard surface, like a wooden support beam in a house, worked best.
