The words of my friend Tommy. Tommy is Canadian, which is important later on.

I say "What about geezer butler?"

"He sucks."

"The founding father of metal-bass sucks?"

"Yes."

"Cliff burton?"

"Who the hell is that?"

"Original bassist for metallica."

"Oh. I hate metallica."

"Ya right. No one HATES metallica... its just cool to. What about Rush?"

"Rush sucks."

*slap*

So, we have a canadian guy who thinks distortion and bass and rush suck.

Was i right for pimp-slapping him?

I'd have to agree with your friend on his first point. I still don't see what's so great about Geezer Butler. He's even bending the notes out of key on the Bassically/NIB solo.

I still like Sabbath though.

I can't believe you left the likes of Chris Squire out of that.

Next time you see old Tommy, give him a big old slap up side the back of the head for me.

Rush sucks? I'll bet you he doesn't like beer (don't know his age) or hockey either and probably complains when it snows.

I don't listen to that kind of music as much as I used to, but I certainly can't say it sucks. If you don't like it that's one thing. If it sucks or not is another.

We the people of Talkbass community are in favor of the defendant that such pimp slapping was called for and he may go on his own cognizance as long as he agrees to visit the plaintive and give him additional public pimp slaps for one week or until the plaintive admits his own ignorance.

The appealic court has ruled that the lower court finding by Judge Chunk-O-Funk to be constitutional and therefore the sentence shall be carried out immediately.

This court is adjourned.

Well I agree that distortion sucks on bass, all of those guys could have played without it and been just as awesome.

The rest of it, well, what does he know about music, he's from the same country as Brian Adams

Fuzz is by far the best....

But about geddy lee- personally me and his voice don't get along. However, he can play bass with the best of them. And you should've mentioned chris squire- he is actually pretty good. Also shoulda mentioned bootsy collins for useing fuzz... because well... he's bootsy...
