Do basses fit in gun cabinets?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm in the market for some sort of multi-instrument stand, and came across a Craigslist ad today for a gun cabinet. It looks nice and has a drawer underneath, so it got me thinking: Could that work as a storage spot for basses?

not the a cabinets I've been around, they're too shallow--but a 'safe' could work

cabinet

i built this one and it works great. there is a little more padding in there now than there was at the time of this picture. Funny that you mention gun cabinets though, because when people saw this one without the basses in it thats what they assumed it was.

it may depending on the cabinet itself but probably too bulky and heavy.

The gun cabinets I've seen are too narrow too.
