I don't record. But I headbang whilst practicing at home. You've gotta get with the feeeeeel, be one with the beat and the track.

A little, it's never intentional, but during really heavy groovin' riffs on my album with King Bowman (which will never be released, I don't think I'm ever going to stop being mad about that), I would find myself headbanging, mostly to keep time.

For me it's more of a foot tapping, bopping up and down thing.

No, there just isn't much headbanging going on in fusion/drill and bass!

I do it occasionally.

My hair once got caught under my fingers on the fretboard and I bended the note and my hair. Sucked.

I don't but if it's your thing, then go for it.

Unless you've got a lot of time (aka money in recording studio speak), and/or experience then I'd record EXACTLY the same way as you normally play. Don't change anything cause you're "in the studio" - it'll just mess things up. Go in, and do whatever has worked for you every other time you've played the tracks...

nope but I never actually headbang while playing

I rock like a crazy person and walk around constantly making faces unintentionally. And later I am made fun of for it .

I played in a Mariachi band many years ago... and I had a hard time not to headbang. It's really though with a big hat

It can if you don't play metal.

Headbanging doesn't suit the music I'm playing, but I dig in as much as possible to prevent myself from thinking too much about playing correctly. If I don't do it, I always mess up and end up sounding less natural and with less groove than if I dig in.

Always groove. The trick is never think that "this is the take". Don't fear "the red button". Groove. Just Groove.
