Technique aside, I used to think playing with fingers looks cooler before I play bass, now after ive picked it up I think that pick just looks cooler. You know like those punkers they just play downstrokes very fast, looks pretty cool |

1.) cooler, try saying "looks beter" cooler just has a connotation that you don't want here
2.) the look of a bass dosn't affect it's sound, talking about which basses look cool is completely different than talking about which way to play them looks coolest
