Hi everyone, sorry for bringing this subject on, but I thought this is an amazing thing, and i donīt mean "amazing" in a good way. I was looking for some information and stumbled onto this: http://www.tootoomart.com/product-24...ce+high+quali/
I thought this was a common knock off, but was amazed to see that they even strap the Gibson logo on the headstock!! Is there something the chinese copycats wonīt do?? Obviously this is a wholesaler price, but even so, what would be the final price on these? $800 to have a good markup, or even $2000 for unsuspecting buyers?
I brought this theme since I have purchased a new Spirit bass (XT2DB) and a GT Pro Guitar, and I am very happy since I had a couple of Musicyo era basses that I had to sell, and had an "urge" to replace them before they are "extinct". At least the Spirits are a very good line and at least are an "official" or allowed version.
Just seeing those images on the link make me feel angry, damn copycats...makes me respect Ned Steinberger more for having to put up with this kind of ****, at the beginnings of his company, without having such big pockets to fight such as Gibson would have. |

A fine reason to REALLY be suspicious of any mass-produced instrument...

| | | | Marcus Miller Jazz in a Gibson case. Whatīs the problem Mediumhero? That means that finally Fender and Gibson are collaborating to give us multinatured products, LOL...seriously, this is like when someone starts stealing stuff, and gradually loses all shame about doing it...anyway, maybe this collaboration between Gibson and Fender, as we see in China will probably have great possibilities...Fender SG, Gibson Jazz Bass, Squier Jack Cassady, Epiphone Precision...the sky is the limit...and the chinese plant capacity... |

Maybe we'll see a Gibson Katana sometime soon then?

But this? This is bad. |

| | | | Good luck if you ever try to unload one. Even if you announce it as a fake, the "craigslist cops" seem to poo poo on your too too. I think I'd just buy a rondo copy in case i ever wanted to be able to sell the guitar or bass. |

| | | | For as little as they cost, you could buy one, replace the electronics (and if you're so inclined, the neck too) and ti will STILL be cheaper than buying the real thing.
