Does anyone else here hate the British version of Catch A Fire?

Personally, I only listen to the Jamaican version. For those unfamiliar with the album, it was The Wailers' (NOT Bob Marley's) debut.

You mean the whole album? But wasn't that the debut with Island records? Cause the wailers before catch a fire had another album.

The whole British version and yes, their Islands debut was what I meant (thanks for catching that).

Can't say that I hate it but it was modified from the original recordings, there's a documentary about it where Chris Blackwell says they did it cause they wanted to give it more of a "rock and roll" sound, at the time reggae wasn't widely known.
