Does anyone study music at university in th UK?

Hey all,im really thinking about going to study music at university,
i graduated from the btec college course a few years ago with grade DDM,so have the qualifications to go for it.
i was just wondering if anyone would be kind enough to share their thoughts/experiences with me so i can see what really happens and what its really like(as apposed to what the prospectus says!)

You might want to get in touch by PM with James Banner here on TB who is just (successfully) applying for courses all over the place - you could compare experiences.

Most of my band mates studied music at Uni, so I could ask them any specific questions you have. I'm a science graduate myself, so I couldn't help in that respect, but these days I'm also a Uni admissions tutor in my own subject and I'd be happy to give you more general advice about the application process if that would be useful to you.

A friend of mine has a music degree but was unable to find work and is currently doing a masters.

She certainly seemed to enjoy the run


(the work thing certainly isnt limited to music, I'm a science geek and there aren't many jobs about for us either, hopefully that will have changed, or be starting to get better by the time you finish your degree tho!).
