One of my all-time favorite Italian singers (Along with Nicola Di Bari), was born eighty years ago today. I think his "Nel Blu Di Pinto Di Blu" doesn't need any introduction (for middle-aged guys/gals, at least) and I have his "Come Hai Fatto" ("Cómo Has Hecho" in Spanish) as one of the most romantic songs ever made.

When I first read the post title, I thought: "Yeah... the 'Volare' guy!" I didn't realize that the song was called "Nel Blu Di Pinto Di Blu." A definite classic, though unfortunately used to advertise one of the crappiest American autos in history.
