Don't NEED stuff, but...

i was gifted two $25 Guitar Center cards this year. i'm kind of in a "at capacity" phase with gear, but free $50 bucks at GC has my pocket burning. does anybody have suggestions? what's something i don't know i want in this price range? or should i just sit on them and be prepared if a cable or something dies? honestly i can't think of anything i could use (for 50 bucks) that i don't have. has anyone spotted a sweet deal in the used gear? know of a new gadget i might not know of? thoughts?

I found a very nice padded leather strap for $60. Most comfortable strap I have ever used.

If you're gigging, backup stuff - extra cables, strings, etc. - is always a good idea. If you're set for backup gear, or not gigging, I'd sit on it till something catches your attention. Don't spend it just to spend it.

good and smart ideas and suggestions, thanks. i'm set with all the go-to's and accessories, backups (backups for the backups for alot, actually), cables, etc. i'm looking for something...fun? maybe i'll look for some kind of percussion instrument...or, i've never tried the uke...or, a logo'd practice stool....y'know, completely unnecessary and frivolous. now, hrodbert696, you're right about holding on to it. it would be the smartest thing to do. however, most items in the 50 or less range (that i use) are things that you'd expect to have to replace anyway- headphones, strings, cables, mic clips, batteries, even stands (jeez i've even got replacement windscreens). i have this stuff covered. i can just go and do a search, randomly, and find something. i'd rather have a little "out of the box" spark of interest, so why not ask here, right?
