Oh well, it is what it is. If that is what I have to do, then its what I have to do.
I agree if I'm playing too long she comes in and starts sitting right next to me if I don't get the hint she puts her paw on my leg that's when I stop and give her some attention.

Update:
Im getting off pretty easy.
I've already fixed the power cord for the mixer. Will fix the power cable for the USB drive tomorrow (don't need it at the moment).

All I've got to buy is two 10' patch cords.

Could have been much much worse.

When I read this to the wife she said "No, I wanted me time with you."

Ummm, Is she she trying to be funny or tell me something...

Our dog chewed through the power cord for a radio that was plugged in. One loud squeal later and he never chewed on a cable again

I feel for you. My lil' bundle of joy has chewed up 1 gigbag, 2 snarks and a little bit of the headstock on my dumpster-fire ABG.

I watched my old cat, a male fixed, walk right up to my bass turn look right at me then turn back and squirt all over on my Modulus Q5. Only time he ever did anything like that.

So, how old was he when he died that day?

Wrong. I've had two cats that loved to chew on cables. Never understood how those power cables could have so many chew marks in them. Surely they have to learn after the first time.

I might get some heat for this, but instruments are just objects. Animals are innocent and don't know any better. Glad to hear the dog didn't choke or anything.

I had a cat that ate most of a thin leather strap from an acoustic. Almost killed the poor guy.

No, but my cat barfed on my bass a couple of days ago. My wife was afraid it was going to dissolve the finish.

Miles the cat lived a long life.

Never could figure out why he did that...

+ 1 you won't get any heat I think everyone here loves their animals most if not all of us have been there and give your pet some credit sometimes they know exactly what they're doing in my case she saw my music as something that was taking away from her time so now I make sure she gets extra attention before and after I play

One of the MANY reasons why I'm not a pet guy. The people who lived behind me growing up had pretty much a zoo. They had chewed furniture, chewed carpet, pissed on everything, holes in the yard, and HUGE vet bills (and could barely afford their house). I really don't understand animal people. I'm not knocking you guys. I'm not even saying you're stupid. I just have no idea what makes you what you are.
