Double-Hard-Shell Cases (Hold 2 Basses) - Do They Exist?

Just wondering if there is such thing as a case that holds two basses. I know there are some for those 6 string thingies, but I can't find any for basses

As far as I know, you'd have to have a custom flight case made. I have never seen nor heard of a "normal" case (SKB, etc.) that holds 2 basses.

My hardshell case with one bass is heavy enough - I would imagine that one with two would be downright uncomfortable!

Darn tootin. I'm sure anvil could build a double, but you'd also need to buy a couple sherpas to carry it.

I was just teasing ya, SuperDuck!

That triple is impressive, but probably makes sense if you are on the road a lot (not the case for me at this point)

I thought a double case would be heavy too, but I think if you have two 10 pound basses and a 10-15 pound case, then it could be dooable, I think.

I'm not sure if a two one exists, I think I've seen one. I do know there is a roller one that holds 3. Coffin Case makes a 3er and Fender makes a 3er. I've seen the 2ers for guitar for sure, and pretty sure I've seen one for bass too. I don't know who makes it though, I forgot.

My Incase Dub isn't even a hard case and it's 11 pounds.

Unless you are flying a lot and need an ATA case for your basses, I'd go for the Dub. It has tons of protection and is still managable.

Thanks for all the replies. That incase looks very managable. I'm going to have to look into that one.

+1

I trust my DUB with $5000 - $6000 worth of basses. It offers as much protection as anything short of a flightcase IMO.
