After seeing RUSH this Monday (Amazing show) my week gets better with Dream Theater on Friday. I can't wait.

Anybody else going to the shows this concert? Anyone in LA going to this?

Any LA TB'ers heading over to the show wanna meet up and hang out for a while at Citywalk beforehand?

Yeah, it really is an amazing week.

And I'm probably seeing Symphony X next Tuesday (For free! Friend who works security at the House of Blues FTW!)

Amazing week for Steve & Prog.

You were at the Rush show too? Hot damn.

I never really liked Dream Theater, so I'll have to sit out on the DT concert. Besides, I'll probably be at the Claypool concert.

I'm going to the Dream Theater concert in Houston. What's great is that Symphony X is playing the very next night.

The way I've seen it these 3 acts are pretty close to each other the entire way thru this tour.

Lucky for all of us!

Thanks for that, Smash. My keyboardist buddy is going to the Montreal show and he'd probably like Redemption. I'll tell him to get there early so as not to miss them.

Band biography
Progressive power-metal band Redemption was formed in Los Angeles, California in late 2000 by guitarist/keyboardist/songwriter Nicolas van Dyk. Following a chance meeting at a live show in Hollywood, van Dyk became close friends with legendary vocalist Ray Alder (Fates Warning) and eventually collaborated on a song on Alder's first solo record with his band Engine. Van Dyk asked Alder to produce a CD of van Dyk's more progressive metal music, and the two of them assembled a group of players to record the project, including Bernie Versailles (Agent Steel, Engine) on guitar and Jason Rullo (Symphony X) on drums. Rick Mythiasin (Taraxacum / ex-Steel Prophet) signed on to be the vocalist for the project, and Alder along with Fates Warning drummer Mark Zonder contributed guest performances. The band was signed to Sensory Records and released its self-titled debut in the summer of 2002.
Awesome. I'm gonna be there around 5:00 pm or so, so I'll definitely be there to go in and get merch early and see all the opening acts.

Dream Theatre has the talent, but that drummer is just toooo overbearing.

Amazing.

For any that wonder, the Bongo 6 is the best sounding bass I've ever heard. I'm not being a JM fanboy. I heard John all night. This is a first as far as I'm concerned!

His tone was rich, deep and sweet. Heard him perfectly in ALL the songs they played.

See Rush and DT both when they come to London and play Wembley Arena!
I think they're 3-4 weeks apart from each other though

Amusingly:
Rush ticket = £50.50
Dream Theater ticket = about £30

DT tickets are usually £40+ 0_o
Are the American DT tickets cheaper on this tour too?

I HATE DT's latest album (with passion), but god damn, I'm gonna try and get to the front and god damn head band to every single one of them!
