Drum related - Assumptions suck

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a kit and dabble in the drum occassionally.

For some reason, I've always just assumed the super fast double kick is "produced" using electronic triggers.

Well, after seeing these videos, I stand well and truly corrected!

To be fair, some drummers use electronic triggers to get a cleaner sound when using double bass.

And to be fair, I've seen some guys get pretty darn fast with only one pedal. Not the speed that guy was going, but faster than I could believe with one pedal.
