Sign in to disble this ad
as the title says, list the drummers (and reasons why if you want to)
Tomas Haake - purely to play with drummer who is so accomplished in polyrhythmic playing.
Bill Ward - amazing energy in his playing (a la war pigs)
Chris Adler - brings his own feel to the kit in the metal genre which can be quite hard to do in the style.
Morgan Agren - amazing dynamic control in both kaipa and Sol Niger Within.

I'd love to jam with him, but I'm sure he'd hate to jam with me! We are friends on Face Book however...........

| | Banned | | Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: New York City | | | Bill Bruford - because he thinks & structures parts "compositionally" even when improvising
Narada Michael Walden - because he is the god of thunder
Joey Baron - because he's always looking to provoke, inspire, or amuse his bandmates
Gerry Hemingway - because his creativity transcends "drumming" and enters the realm of "sonic painting"
Ronald Shannon Jackson - because he is the god of chaos; he has the unique ability to sound like 300 marching drum corps members playing 300 different tunes simultaneously and still know where the barlines go
Gino Robair - because he makes me a better player
Jesse Mayer - because he's either telepathic, or else he simply listened to the exact same music in the exact same proportions as I did while growing up
(I actually have jammed w/ those last two, and it was so much fun I'd just like to do it again!) |
