Dual Shoulder Strap

Anyone use/used on of these?

http://www.slider-straps.com/STR/bass.html

Their marketing is less than spectacular, with the absolute dorkiest, lamest, cheesiest pictures and poses I've ever seen but the product itself sounds promising.

I've got two straps right now: a cheap 'leather' padded 4" strap and a Yamaha non-padded leather 3.5". They both kill my shoulder, and I'm playing two rather hefty instruments: Peavey T-40 and Ibanez SR506.

Our jazz band is gearing up for big shows this winter, with our first coming next month. We're talking two one hour sets, at least. I shouldn't complain, thing of the horns, yadda yadda. Anywhoo, I'm looking to reduce the strain on my left shoulder. I play with my bass up high, both straps are adjusted as short as possible, about 35".

Can anyone comment on these things?

That sounds like an investment I can see myself making...

Any other companies are making dual-shoulder straps?

I have a dual strap (not this one) & it really makes a difference. It's not exactly designed like this though. It has dual straps (both adjustable) that join at the top strap button (horn) then go over the shoulders & siamese into one strap & go to the bottom strap button (butt). The inividual adjustability of the two shouder staps makes it perfect for neck-divey basses & for setting a neutral hang angle for your bass. I really like this design but after many years it's starting to wear out. I need to find another one or get one of these or get mine replicated by a custom leather guy. If anyone buys one of these how 'bout giving a review?

Well, I'll be ordering strings soon, I think, so I'll cough up the dough for one of these as well. Expect a review in a few weeks.

I used a slider strap with my warr for a while. It was very comfortable, if somewhat dorky. But because of how it's designed, the strap kept crinkling up at the places it goes through the attachments. It was also kind of hard to put on. You definitely want to put the strap on first, then attach the bass. Straplocks help with that a whole lot.

I have one, and it works well. It just looks really dorky, kind of like a Bro/Mansier from the back.

I got one of these about 10 years ago, possably the worse quality ever. I put it on, rested my arms on the bass ans the leather ends ripped right off. the hole where the strap button attaches tore out the bottom. Unless they have seriously upgraded thier materials don't get one.
